Exclamation LightningTuner/Anybody need help

Battery light came on... on the way home tonight after I got on it and took her from 80 to 120 but not at WOT...If I turn the ignition off and just turn it to "RUN" then the usual happens...Fuel pumps do their thing and the lights on the dash come on...but a "BOX" under the master cylinder that appears to have alot of brake lines run to it makes a noticable "THUDD" after about five seconds...Start it up again and the battery light still stays on but flickers sometimes.....Need to drive the truck to Florida Tuesday morning so the dealer may be out of the question!!!!!!

It's a bad alternator, the dealership will prob have one, and if they don't, if they are like us, they can call the motorcraft depot that services them and have one probably the same day. I know if i need a alt. at work as long as i let them know before 11am, it will be on the daily truck at 3-4pm. Good luck.

Ok, is the battery light that comes on the indicator that it's a bad alt. or is it the "thudd"? Because I have the "thudd" but no lights. I just chalked it up along with the clunk and seat problems. So what is it?

every vehicle that has a self-sufficient electrical system has one.

seriously, id go to the dealership first thing in the morning, depending on the size of the place, they prob. will have one in stock. Its the same alt thats on reg. F150's from 97up and probably a lot of other 4.6/5.4 applications.
