Thumbs up JDM full length exhaust

I just got the JDM exhaust installed today. Definite SOTP TQ and HP gains, not to mention the best sound I have heard to date, Bassani included. Worth the wait and $$$$$$$$$$ in my book. I believe my dyno run next weekend will confirm the gains. Thanks to JJ and JDM for making it happen.

Question

Buford T,

Did you install the cat back system or the full system with headers and all?

Wink Full system

ema100c,

The full system was installed. The headers are a work of art. Again, the sound alone is worth the money. The SOTP gains are icing on the cake.

Thumbs up BTJ....

That's right, I'm getting my system done tomorrow.
I think I'll look into going to the Dyno wit you after all. For some reason I thought you meant that you were going this weekend after JJ's.
Nitro, you are more than welcomed to stop by and help
as long as you buy lunch for JJ and I.

Later...

Man I'm glad you guys are getting yours systems. I am still waiting on mine from JJ, but I cant wait till I get it put on. When I ordered mine 5 weeks ago (JJ said its not even put togeather yet ) I wasn't sure if it was really what I wanted, but after hearing everyone that has it and their reviews I can't wait.

Masterloggie

has JDM's 'full-boat' system with the single(14568) muffler. It hasn't been 'loud' since it's installation. He now has about 2,000 miles on the system and is it LOUD at WOT??? YES it is.

Fri. night, he and I had just left SDR(where Rusty was getting "just one more run" in) and I was driving 'point'--at a very sedate MPH. He had told me at SDR to roll my window down as we crossed the Flint River--I knew what he had in mind .

Hw'y 96's Flint River bridge is split with east and west bound lanes split apart from each other so we had no oncoming traffic and we had a partial wall on each side of the bridge/lane. It's 9 pm and dark as his headlights move to my left and start gaining on me. I hit the auto-window button--I am rollin at about 60 mph. Ron pulls up within 3 feet of my window--I can hear the smooth, deep purr of his exhaust as we pace each other for a few yards--and then, he nails it and all hell breaks loose ! The 'hinges of hell' have been opened and Lucifer is pi$$ed--LOL What a sound! It's good enough to "make a grown man slap his pappy." Btw, once wasn't enough for either of us--he nailed it 3 times as we wailed serenely along over the muddy Flint.

Smile Eric...

Fortunatley from what I've read JJ was told that yours was made and was being shipped out the door.
But believe me it is worth the wait.

I just got home from JJ's and I still can't get this stupid grin off my face!

It seems like most are putting these FULL systems on at shops. Can it be done at home with a jack and stands?
Thanks

Thumbs up After Helping/Watching JJ today...

I'd say that yes you could.
But it would be so much easier on a lift.

I was impressed how well the system fit right in. When I first got to see the exhasut made at JDM I got to watch Shaun and JJ make the system from scratch and make the necessary adjustments to get the new mufflers to fit the rest of the kit.
And then today to just show up and the system was there already pretty much together and everything went on perfect.
Hope that helps.

If I remember correctly, the headers go in through the wheel wells?

Sort of....

The drivers side goes in from the bottom and the passenger side goes in through the wheel well.
If you are interested MM&FF (Muscle Mustang and Fast Fords) did a nice write up of the install.

LAter...

I just finished installing the ss headers and complete ss exhaust system, did the work in my garage on jack stands this was a very difficult install the drivers side is a breeze, if you want to get your old system off without cutting it up you will have to remove the rear tranny frame cross member, the passenger side the engine needs to be jacked up even then the header does not want to go in I damaged my ac system there's a canister for the ac that got punctured when I wrestled the header in place, if I had to do over I probally would take it to a shop and have them do it my arms and hands are cut to hell. This deffinately is not a job for the tool challenged.
