Question T/B comparison

Can the "en-lightning-ed" board members share some info on the twin 62 mm T/B vs. the single blade T/B? Has anyone looked/compared these two items before? And yes, I am talking about for L's.

I believe that the twin 62 is avail. from BBK. The Oval has more area than that of the twin 62. The oval may be more $$$, but prob. worth it.

I didn't get any gains from the single blade, that I could tell at the track. What are the dyno gains before and after #'s?

Arrow T/B comparison

The twin 62 mm's are from Edelbrock. I am not sure if the single T/B does flow more. That is why I am asking. The only difference in T/B's is the need for the L cam lever. It is my current understandin the twin outflows the single, however I have no statistical data, hence my post. I am interested in the better T/B in terms of performance, regardless of how it looks.

Arrow more T/B comparison

Edelbrock says 25% more flow than stock 57 mm T/B. Does anyone know the % flow advantage of the single blade vs. stock?

Not possible for the twin to flow more. It has to work within the same packag/size container as the single, and the twin has the big divider down the center. It has to exit into the same size plenum as the single.

BABolt does know, but he's not a supporting vendor . I wouldn't think the twin 62 could out-do an oval. As Silver said, it had the area in the middle that is not there on the oval.

BaBolt's single blade throttle body was worth...drum roll please:

A maximum of 6.6 hp and 7.7 ft.-lbs. of torque with an average gain across the rev range of 3.6 and 4.3 respectively.

Hope that helps,

Dan
