if he had 30k to spend on a truck why would he buy a lightning then go and ruin it by lifting it. he should of got a standard cab shortbed stepside and then lifted it instead of killing a lightning. would of had enough money to drop a blower on their too. hes goin to get lauged at by ne one who knows what a lightning is and probly beat up by anyone who owns a lightning . please have your friend read all these posts about how stupid he is for wanting to lift a lightning and maybe he will change his mind

One of the other employees here just picked up a new'02
Lightning and asked me if I knew where he could buy a set
of running boards for it.
I personally believe anyone has the right to do whatever they
choose with their own vehicle, but I just walked away from this
one.

Lightbulb another thought...

Yeah your friend's an idiot,

HOWEVER

I think someone would have an off-road monster on their hands if they stuffed an L motor into an f150/250 4x4...

Not that he'd use it correctly but ...

Actually, a lifted lightning would make a perfect Baja rally truck. I doubt your friend would have many opportunities to use it properly, but it does make sense. Most of those rally trucks are 2wd with high-horsepower engines. Of course, its the suspension that makes them so kick-*** and I doubt anyone's gonna drop the 100K in suspension work needed to make a competition truck out of it...

i know there is alot of diff between a L and a HD, but on a web site for lifted trucks they had a HD with a 6 inch lift. did not look bad, but it also was not a known speed truck, and there were no body kit

The reality is this...

If a guy modified a lightning and ran Baja in the two wheel drive class and won (or even competed), a lot of people would bragging about it.

Think about it guys, I would love to see a monster truck in lightning form!

Look at monster trucks, they have some kick *** motors in them with tons of POWER!!!!!

Whats the difference?

Don't ask me to do it to mine, she's staying low to the ground.
