I don't see how anyone can answer your question objectively. Maybe one or two 99 Ls have made it to 150,000 miles, but I doubt it. Also, do you mean; make it to 150,000 without a rebuild?

Btw, I'm on my third 'uncaged' pulley .

Lets see... Most things that are in a cage are mellow and weak... Once you get them out of a cage the fury begins....

If something is in a cage, there is generally a good reason for it. Release it at your own risk.

I released mine ALONG time ago. But then again, I only hope to make the startup club from time to time, never cared for vehicles with HIGH miles.....

Here is a excerpt from PSP website:
"And if you are wondering if you really NEED that pulley cage, it was made to house the rubber mounted stock lower pulley designed to cut down on blower "whine" for production purposes. We've been running our lower pulley since May 00, with no problems at all. Plus, all aftermarket blower kits for regular F-150s with Trition 5.4s since 97 use the direct bolt on pulley, with no reported problems and no need for the caged pulley design. "

I run without the cage. This was a hot topic awhile ago. Some people swear up and down you need the cage. However, others have been running the cageless pulley without any problems.
