Painted Plastic on Our trucks

hey guys since the search is down I have to ask these questions even though we have gone over them before. First ? is where do you get a fan shroud that can be painted to match the color of your truck Second Question is where do you get the sid steps to match your truck. Third is where do you get the rear window cover painted to match your truck?

Hey Guys,
I can't help with the fan but my rear cover was done at a paint shop. The rear window was pulled to complete the task, then reistalled. A lot of work but I hate the way the ford trim turns gray and couldn't live with it.

Why not just paint the stock shroud, no sense in buying a new one.

dogleg - that looks great. Does the rear window have to removed or was it easier for the shop to do it that way?

that trim can't come off, then be painted? how'd they get it on at the factory? before they installed the window?

Harley,

The trim is installed first and it has a lip on the inside. The window is installed second and seals up against this lip. If you try to remove the trim without taking out the window first you will break the plastic trim piece.

Once painted though... The effort is definitely worth it. See dogleg's or TampaSVT's trucks...very cool mod.
