Question Fuel Pumps

How big are the Fuel pumps in the 2001 Lightnings??? Has anyone upgraded yet??? I was thinking of Sal's dual 255lph kit!!!!

Yup,
Replaced the stockers with the dual 255's that PSP sells. Found a split in one of the stock fuel lines from one of the pumps. Fuel guage needle moves a lot faster than before.

Stock it is twin 155LPh fuel pumps. I wouldn't worry about fuel pumps unless you are looking to run mid 11's or faster.

I should have mentioned.. what Lightning Boy says is correct. The stockers will support a lot of HP. I changed the pumps because I suspected that one of the in-tank fuel lines was loose or split, so I decided to upgrade pumps since I would be lowering the gas tank anyway.

My gas tank has been down for awhile. I've been looking all over trying to get a better deal than what Sal has and I can't find one. Sal, you have mail. Low 11's here I come.
