Angry Bought these stupid drag radials

and now I have little interest in drag racing. After spending the last two weekends on Solo1 and Solo2 courses, traveling in a straight line for 12.xx seconds seems pretty boring. Until you have slid one of these behemoths around a road course you have no idea how much fun driving them can be. Fortunately the 555Rs will work on an auto-x course, and when I wear them out I will put on a set of 555r-IIs. I wish I had as much money as George or Lurker, I would get another Lightning and turn it into a road racing monster like Stan's.

You can always sell me the DRs so you can buy some nice Road Race tires. =)

I'm only one state to the North. =)

You can do it on a budget and make it perform well. Worst case, run it stock like I did and spend the money and time on improving driving skills. The mods can become a crutch. For instance, if you don't have great brakes, don't add better brakes - improve your skills so you can carry more speed exiting the corner, not entering the corner. Then get the brakes. In other words, $1000 in good instruction will buy more than a good set of brakes ever will. Considering the HP driving school at Thunderhill is only $195, that's a lot of driving instruction...

But...
regarding the mods, talk with Ruslow. There are several suspension items that you can buy and install very for a lot less money than you think. The biggest expense so far has been the shocks, although they were well worth it.

BTW, told ya so...
