There are a ton of colors to get. Just go to a local parts store and look for high temp paint. It is usually specified for engine painting but it servers the purpose for the calipers. I am doing mine black as soon as it gets over 40*

calipers
I just painted mine for the third time this past weekend. I'll try and get some pics up, weather is real bad here, floodin' and stuff. I painted the calipers and drums red and then the bracket around the caliper I painted it flat black, looks pretty sweet. I had them blue the first time, couldn't hardly see them, then I got a wild hair and painted them orange, got tired of that quick. It's easy, take the wheels off and mask off the disc and any grease fittings and have at it. Recommend doing it in a garage or covered area with no wind to blow spray onto your fenders.

Caliper paint
I've painted my calipers, too. Plasti-Kote makes a special hi-gloss brake caliper paint with a 900 degree rating. All kinds of different colors. I get mine at Pep Boys.
I also painted the inside of my factory rims E4 red. Doing so creates a great color contrast, but they have to kept clean. I doubt doing the same for a black or white L would have the same effect, and a silver L would get no benefit at all. But on the red ones it looks awesome.

I painted the calipers on my L last weekend using a red brake caliper spray paint I bought at Pep Boys in the Ricer section. It's made by Plasti Kote. I taped around the calipers front and back, including the rotor. After a throught cleaning with lacquer thinner, I sprayed a thin coat to get good adhesion. Then several thicker coats. Each coat was baked using a heat gun, so i was able to get a thick smooth layer in a short time. They really stand out.
I used high temp engine paint. Clean the calipers REALLY good. I also had to wire brush/sand parts of them to rough them up a bit. The paint did run off a couple very small places I missed. So next time I will hit those areas really good.
I think I did 4 light coats on each one. While the paint was drying, I scrubbed the inside of the wheels.
I left the calipers on the truck and just taped them up really good and used alot of newspaper to fill holes. It took a few hours, but wasnt too bad. I jacked up one side and did 1 front and 1 rear at a time. The taping is what took the longest.
