Does anyone have a close-up pic of their installed Billet Antenna?

I read that we need to order a Ford adapter along with the Billet antenna. Does this adapter include the base of the antenna? Mine's black and that would look kinda funny I think.

Someone please post some pics.

I got the billet antenna on my truck looks great gets rid of that giant stock antenna that always hit my garage door when i pulled in. As for the adapter all it is like a bolt with threads on both sides. One side has smaller threads to fit in our antenna base. As for the black base i thought the same thing when i was ordering mine that the billet antenna would look like crap with it. Well after i first got it it didnt look to bad but i found at the www.f150world.com online store they sell the chrome base. So i got that now and it looks 100 times better. I got the Billet antenna from www.stylinconcepts.com
Theres a pic of my antenna from my POS digital camera but you get the idea. That pic is before i got the chrome base but here is the pic from f150world online store. I suggesst if you get the billet antenna get the basae cleans it up and looks 1000 times better.

Theres my Antenna.

Theres the chrome base.

the one I got from ebay. They sell them all the time came with all the parts needed. Just unscrew the stock one and screw on the ford stud from the kit and bolt it back on. no other parts are removed from the truck.

Chickenears,

E-mail me and I'll send you pics of the Billet Specialties antenna I have. They also have a Ford adapter that costs a whopping $ 2.00. Real nice piece.

Hey Chikenears,

Click on the link in my sig, and go to the Lightning album........in one of the pictures you can see my 12 incher.........oh, and my antenna also!! HEHEHEHE

But seriously, one of the pics shows a good shot of the 12" Billet antenna I picked up on ebay for $25, adapter included. I didn't buy the billet base, cause I think it looks tacky, imho.

hope this helps,
JC

MiamiWhiteSVT-L,

Was your antenna 12 inches long when you bought it? All I see are 18.5 inches long.

Well mine is pretty much the same as Rob's. I just got a different style than him, but same brand. Since he already posted his I will not go take photos of mine.
