caltracs on roush rear springs?
caltracs on roush rear springs?
I'm going to install roush rear springs on the Lightning soon. Are the spring ends the same size as the stock springs? for some reason they look different. Has anyone tried the cal-tracs with the roush rear springs?
I have extra aluminum bushings I can use on the roush springs...
I may auto cross with the truck a little this year. Are the cal-tracs bad for this? Is there a better type of traction bar I should use? I need something because of the power of the truck.

I had the cal tracs on mine all last year. I never broke a drive shaft and it hooked really well. I just wanted to make sure the caltracs would fit on the roush springs. Maybe I should just go get some of those JDM traction bars instead...
easter,
The difference in the Roush springs and the stock ones is 2 less leaves. The Roush has 3 leaves and stock has 5. Since I know that you often run with a camper shell, I hope that you have enough suspension travel with the rear springs. With just a Bedrug and factory tonneau cover, I always seemed to hit the bumpstops on moderate dips or bumps.

I guess I may have to do a C-section after all.
Edward, did you have just the roush springs and stock shackles, or did you use different shackles?

I had the stock shackles and hangers. I even tried going to a shorter Energy Suspension bumpstop. But that didn't help - it just made bottoming out a lot more harsh. The stock bumpstops are nice and "spongey." I eventually sent the whole setup back for a refund after a week of problems with the rear. I had no complaint regarding the front.
