Front spring install

I just installed new front springs. They were the Roush ones. I noticed that Spike didn't have any measurements on the height. I'll try to get that as soon as I have the engine installed.

It was very easy and only took an hour. These are the tools I used: 21mm socket, 19mm socket, 16mm socket, 13mm socket, 10mm socket, 21mm open end wrench, 20mm open end wrench, 16mm open end wrench, rubber hammer, jack, jack stands, impact gun, 3/8 ratchet, screw driver.

1. place truck on jack stands (pretty high up)
2. remove wheel 21mm socket
3. remove sway bar end 16mm socket, 16mm open end wrench
4. remove abs sensor line screw driver
4. remove old shock 21mm socket top, 13mm socket bottom.
5. remove old bump stop 13mm
6. place jack under lower control arm and jack up a little.
7. remove two top upper control arm bolts 21mm socket, 21mm open end wrench.
8. lower jack slowly and remove spring.
9. place new spring in place with top rubber spacer fit correctly to spring.
10. jack up control arm.
11. line up holes on upper control arm with new cam bolts rubber mallet if stubborn.
12. place new cam bolts in holes and tighten to spec. driver side may need to remove a 10mm bolt which may be in the way.
13. install sway bar arm
14. remove jack
15. install shock mine had a different bolt size 19mm
16. reinstall abs senor line fitting to top of shock
17.take truck off jack and take to an alignment shop

I think that is all thats needs to be done. Very simple project to do. I didn't think it would be so easy.

I don't like that the springs are blue. I think they will work well for me though. The brakes are the Brembos. I bought them from Azeem last year. In fact the suspension kit I bought used also. The shock were new though. The rear leafs only have 3 leafs instead of the 5 that the factory leafs have. That should save me some weight.

I forgott about you motor problem, hope you get it running soon.

I will be putting the Roush spring on next weekend, along with Stans shocks. I'll let you know how I like it then.
