"Wow... is that your truck out there?"

I've heard that about 20 times today... geez... I didn't know that many people knew what a lightning was... My boss wants to race me in his NSX... -LOL- People can't get over the suede interior
When I got this truck I thought it was going to be "low key"... so much for that.
I know you all have heard this before... but this is all new to me. Wow, this is a "nice truck"

It does attract attention.

I've had mine two years and people still come up to me in parking lots or my driveway asking/commenting on it...

Don't want to burst your bubble but it's not suede , it's cloth. Just looks and sorta feels like suede.

And yes they do get alot of looks and thumbs-up

Are you sure? Because I know some of it is leather. I know it's not the black part in the center... are you sure it's not suede?

Guapo,

Unfortunately, the grey portion is cloth, the black part is leather. I wish it was suede, that would be coool. I get a lot of complements/comments about my truck. I think the funniest ones are "Is this truck fast?" I just say it's pretty quick, as it is obvious those particular people don't know what it is. The best part is when you nail it somewhere (safely of course) and you get to see peoples faces when the supercharger is screaming! That look on peoples faces is better than most of the comments!!!

I've had my truck about a year now, and I still get comments.

Funny thing though. . .and I wonder if anyone else here has this happening to them, too. . .Lately there's been quite a few people asking me if it's a real Lightning. I guess the RASH of posers is making people question credentials. That's OK though. It seldom takes more than a solid plant of the right foot to silence most of the doubters. The rest get silenced when I out handle their sports cars.

Anyone else having this happen?

You wouldn't want suede in your L. It would be a nightmare to keep looking good. Any moisture spots suede, you can't clean suede with some cleaner and a rag, etc...

I think the fabric is really cool 'cause it looks so much like suede but it's only cloth.

What was fun was way back in 99, March to be exact, when NOBODY knew what a Lightning was. Kickin A$$ and taking names. Mustangs, Z28's, Trans-am's and a few corvette's couldn't believe a pick up truck could walk on them like that. But that was then and I like my 01 now
