If anyone is interested I am organizing a day at Nelson Ledges road course with my local Mustang Club (Mahoning Valley Mustangs) for Friday July 26. I talked to the lady that runs the track and they allow Lightning to run on the track. the cost is $100 PER DRIVER so if you want to trailer in another car you can run both!! here is the link to the site:

I've had my L at Nelson Ledges several times last year, so they know me quite well. Unfortunately, I will be running at Watkins Glen Mon and Tues of that week, so I will have to work that Friday. If this changes, I may show up.

Does your mustang club have any days at Mid Ohio? I wrote the Porsche club and they weren't sure about letting me run my truck with them. I also wrote the Audi club and haven't heard from them.

So YOUR the Lightning that they were talking about when I called the track!!!! Our club is based out of Youngtown, they do alot more of the show and drag racing thing than the road racing. Being that I built my Mustang for the road course I love to push it hard throught the corners but every one else thinks it's "too rough on their cars" If you hear anything about Mid Ohio let me know I would LOVE to take the stang down there once.

 

The Porsche club is a No Go for now. They are concerned about the weight and size difference of my truck. Do you know if any Mustang clubs rent Mid Ohio for the day?
