Talking Finally pulled the L out of storage

Well after 5 agonizing months of waiting, the L is finally back on the road although without all of the speed goodies. Have to get it ready for the IC recall. Does anyone know how long it takes for the dealer to do the job and what all do they replace? Hope it's only a few day job cause life in a Focus loaner for more then 2 days is gonna be like chinese water torture with battery acid.

Recall

It's my understanding that only the 1999 and 2000 models were recalled. Therefore, I can't give you any firsthand information. However, I would think if you made an appointment with your local dealer, they could have it done within a couple of days.

Angry

!@#$*&%$#@$# Me too! Yesterday was first day out and now it's gonna snow again all week up here and they will salt the heck out of the roads and I won't be able to drive it for another month. Insurance is just to darn much to be payin' for it to sit in the garage. It's gonna kill me waiting any longer because I just did my nasty sounding exhaust yesterday as well. Prayin' for spring!

Thanks for the replies folks.

It figures. I pull the truck out and not only are we getting a cold snap but they are also calling for snow by thursday. Not to mention the gas prices are going up. At this rate, I'm going to buy a Diesel Excursion, Lift it with 35" tires, add a propane assist for the oomph and call it a day. Seems like every year I pull it out the same thing happens. lol. I guess if I wanna play I gotta pay right?
