Bell Tech 3/4, Bassani catback, JDM Long Traction Bar Combo
Bell Tech 3/4, Bassani catback, JDM Long Traction Bar Combo
I have a Bell Tech 3/4 lowering kit ordered. I already have JDM's long traction bars and Bassani's catback installed. I have read that this combination will all work together but haven't actually heard it from someone that has done it.
There is only a small amount of clearance between the Bassani pipes and the traction bars now. I'm gambling that they will work but I would like to know *first hand* from someone with this combo if there is room for the *complete* lowering of the rear.
Does anybody have this combo, and does it fit without the traction bars hitting the exhaust pipes?
Thanks,
Tim

I'm not kiddin'! I was close to having the kit installed on my truck yesterday because I have been told Belltech only offers a 2"x2" kit for the (2001). I am set on using Belltech through my research, but I want to go lower. I have seen several pictures of L's lower than 2"x2".
I'm not kidding either, the online store right here at F150online sells a Bell Tech 3/4 lowering kit. Check it out!

Mr.Chickenears,
When you install the Bell-Tech hanger you will be moving your leaf springs up by two inches ( approx. ) and this will allow you to move the Bassani tailpipes up slightly. You should have traction bar clearance then. As you know my truck is lower than that and I have the Bassani cat-back and JDM traction bars also so I'm going to have to do some minor fabrication to make sure there is no tailpipe to traction bar interference. I'll post pics when it's done.

SVTRobG,
I knew somebody had this combo of exhaust and traction bars but I didn't realize that you had the same traction bars as me. If they work on yours, they should work on mine.
Thanks my friend,
Tim

I once again visited Belltech web-site.You will notice Lightning kit 2"x2" kit only. Our rigs come factory lowered from standard F-150. I want to actually lower 3"x4" from existing. Belltech does not make one. I'd like to know how these guys are dropping their L's.I'm sure the kit you ordered will only drop your truck 2".
I have virtually memorized our online store. Anyone know who else makes such a kit for my 01/L?

Go here and look at the part numbers of the F150 and lightning kit. The hangers I see as the only real difference.
