Yes, I believe the tranny was meant for you. I just got to Greggs house first.
I'll know how I like it when I get the engine and everything else installed. I didn't think my old tranny was bad. At least not until I saw the clutch paks. The only ones that were good were the reverse (probably) and the overdrive. I got the tranny with clutch pak upgrades along with the ball bearing coast clutch. I hope it lasts a while.

Gregg is a really nice guy. I can't believe how much he knows about these trannies. Thanks Gregg for the tranny. He didn't even say anything about me picking it up in my GMC.

Don't feel bad, I'm going to take my moms suburban for the ride down. did you have him give you the full meal deal tranny? I want the baddest tranny I can get cause I want this to be the last one already.

Are you running a new converter too? I bought a PI from sal, should be worth some more E.T. over my stock one.

What does that ball bearing coast clutch do? I told him I wanted already anyway, but i would like to know what it does?

I know he explained it to me while I was there. I can't remember. MidSouthBolt was with me so maybe he remembers. I just need a tranny to handle about 600 RWHP and I should be okay.

Since I tow with my truck I'm going to keep the stock convertor. I've spent way over my budget anyway. And I've been buying some used stuff.

The ball bearing coast clutch replaces a flimsy little plastic thrust washer with a big honking ball bearing, and adds another set of plates to the clutch, 6 plates instead of 4. Should add some durability to the clutch and reduces some friction from the pump/clutch mating surface. Plus, it's just cool, if you've seen one.
