90mm Maf- Does it need a chip?

90mm Maf- Does it need a chip?

I just bought a used 90mm maf and filter kit but I don't have a chip yet(its a tough decision on who to go with), is it ok to install it without a chip or would that lean out my a/f?? TIA

Yes you need a chip, or maybee you can get your computer flashed to a 2001 program.

Can 2000 fac.. be flashed to 2001 spec?

Can this actually be done? Never heard on this or NLOC of 2000 computer being reflashed to 2001 specs. Anybody have this done? Thanks for any help!
