'Never owned a four cylinder; but........
.......this thing is gonna be a real BAD a$$. Has anyone read the Car and Driver write up? 240 hp from a SC 2.2L 4-banger in a vehicle that weighs in at 2400-2500lbs. 0-60 in less than 5 seconds stock. I know it's a dream right now; but, it is a parts bin concept. It could very easily happen. I hate the name though.... Pontiac Solstice!?

Oh yea, they're shooting for less than $30,000 for the SC version. Things are starting to look too good on the high performance automobile front. I'm going to have a hard time choosing my next vehicle. That is for certain!

It's a gorgeous car- but I wonder if it will start rattling after 5,000 - 6,000 mi like most Pontiacs?

The car company that gives me what I want is the one that get's my business.
Being closed minded and brand prejudiced does have a good point though. Your choices are much simpler to make. Limited, but simpler.

Wait until Pontiac gets done adding a bunch of plastic lower body cladding and a wing! GM always finds a way to #*&$ up a good design.
Bob Lutz is sharp, but I think he'll suffocate at GM. I give him 2 years.

Is this not a LAXATIVE that Porter Wagner and Dolly Parton advertized many years ago...on the the Porter wagner show hehehehe
I think this car was aimed squarely at the new Z, with those looks, stats and price point.
