boost dump????

Question boost dump????

do we have something on these bad boys that dumps boost if we pump more into them and the only way to reset it is by turning off truck and taking out the key?? buddy of mine has a "fall on its face" problem he says is caused by exactly this. how do we stop it??

unplug the boost dump solenoid on the driver side rear corner of the supercharger

Squeeze the top and bottom of the connector together to get it to release. Otherwise the computer will let the blower back in after 15-20 seconds, you don't have to shut it off. Remember to plug it in and pull the negative post of your battery for 5-10 mins to clear any codes if you have to take it in for service.

If it's happening often you may wanna find out why you're bumping the rev limiter(most likely cause). If you're doing the shifting, STOP IT. The computer is much more talented at it than you will ever be. If it's not that then you may need a reburn of your chip if it's not shifting soon enough.

I think thats whats happening to him he says it happens when he breaks them loose in 2nd,he must hit the rev limiter
