100 mph...hum

I know this has been covered before but do a lot of you have a 95-100resonance/humm/vibraion? My 01 does. If so , is there a fix? Funny, my 99 cobra does the same thing. Maybe its part of JOB 1

Thanks

Get a Magna flow muffler and the counter weights put on. It worked for me.

Try revving the truck up to 3000 rpm (slowly bring it up) while sitting in Park. Does it make the same noise? If so, then yes, your problem is the exhaust.

In my case it was in the exhaust.

Try to rev the truck in Neutral to the same rpm as it is when you get the hum. See if it does something similar.

Mine had it, until I replaced the stock muffler with the Magna Flow,
and REMOVED the counter weights. Had it on my Supercrew also,
install Flow Master, and REMOVED the counter weights on it too.
No more problems. Being one myself, I realize Blue Oval Engineers
love counter weights.

I had it until I replaced the stock muffler with the Borla cat back.

xjmd44:

Nope, pulling my hair out over this. Only thing I've discarded so far is the C32 AMG. Too small. My head is behind the "B" pillar. Nice car though. Strongly looking at the CLK 430 for the all-season alternative. No hot rod but a damn fine car. Trying to convince myself that I fit in the Z06. My hair brushes the roof, and things are pretty cozy in there, but man, they are gorgeous cars. Might even go the Coupe route if necessary.

My dealer has gone on vacation this week and it's killing me. I need to know prices dammit. (I know the prices, but he is the only gig in town that will lease at reasonable pricing)

Every morning I wake up dreaming about the right vehicle. I'm sick I think. Won't say I won't do the L again, but it is my last choice.

We'll see, we'll see.

Thanks for asking!!
