22 gallon tank
22 gallon tank
Lots of road miles today and had to get gas at a sunoco instead of the mobile gas that i usually put in it. Bought 94 octane gas, but the one thing is,, put nearly 23 gallons in according to the gas station. Thats weird though cause although i haven't checked the manual yet, i thought it was a 22 gallon tank. Hmmm,, anyways, usually i stick 93 or 92 octane in it, i wonder if i'll feel a difference,, hmmm,
Anyways, one more thing, only 9 miles per gallon this time, i've been consistently up at 11 to 13 ( i do mostly city driving ) truck sounds fine, even had been without a passenger seat in it for a good portion of this tank ( rewiring my stereo, not racing

how do u guys figure out your mpg? just reset the trip odometer after a fill up and divide total miles by 25 or 22(whatever the lightning tank is)? or does ur little compass thing tell u? all mine does is direction and temp.
joe, when you are done filling up check the gas pump,, it'll tell you how many gallons you just put in your truck,, and if you reset your trip right after the last time you filled it up, you should have exact numbers,, take the number of miles on your trip,, divide that by the number of gallons you just put in your tank according to the gas pump. To do this correctly you will need to fill up the tank every time you pump so you have accurate numbers to go by

Some of you will get better gas mileage than others.
I can't be everywhere with my siphon hose but, I do try to be fair.

Funny story about syphoning gas, and it's a TRUE story!
A guy broke into a barn where a guy kept his motor home. The next morning the guy that owns the barn woke up and saw the barn door was open and went to investigate. He gets in the barn and sees a hose hanging out of the RV and a gas can next to the hose. Next, he notices puke all over the place. Upon further inspection, he realizes that the inept, would-be criminal had accidently stuck the hose into the "waste" tank (we call 'em honey tanks out here in the sticks) and syuphoned out the "wrong stuff"!!!! Justice is served!! This was in the "funny section" of a Galls catalog. All of you Police/Fire/EMS guys probably saw this already.
