Polished Drive Shaft!!

I was wondering did anyone waste the time to polish the stock aluminum drive shaft if so does it look cool or just a waste to do. I think i might do it so it will watch my nice stainless mufflers

just a Idea

It should be easy to do. Let the engine do the polishing on a lift. Just put it in drive and nail it while holding a portable high speed buffer against it. Will require two people.

Just kidding but I have considered it. Will the shine last long?

I don't know how long it will last but I think it will look great probably even better if you/we add a nice rear end girdle instead of stock diff cover I am going to look into this more as soon as the weather breaks still a little too cold in Nj to be laying in the driveway ...

Been there, done that.

Chikenears, don't laugh.........but I've done almost exactly what you suggested. I put my truck up on jack stands, fired it up, dropped it in gear, grabbed a big towel with plenty of Turtle polishing compound on it and tried to hold onto the driveshaft. Afterwards, I followed up with some NeverDull wadding and my driveshaft looks great!

Pics don't do it justice

I have some pictures, but no web space to store 'em in that I can link to. I can email them to you if you want, but they don't really give you the full effect of seeing it "live".

I'm not laughing. I would like to do it too. As a matter of fact I would like to be the first to do it. Since you can't post pics, send it to me and I'll post it as mine

I knew somebody would do this sooner or later and I've been waiting to see it. It's got to look killer!

Send it to me and I'll post it maybe giving you credit

:o That would be awsome. My 4.6 drive shaft looks The L's Al (aluminum) looks good. But the polished would look awsome.
