Sivlerstate motor sports claims that with these traction bars & slicks on their L they have turned 1.50 sixties. Has anybody tried these?

Mark, the Caltracs work very well, many of my customers have dropped thier 60 fts with them. We actually designed the Lightning specific Caltracs, and Calvert builds them for us exclusively. However, John Calvert asked if it was ok if he let Silver State sell them as well, since he and Mike are close, and since Silver State was really no threat to us, I agreed. So yes, Silver State has our design bars. As for thier claimed 60fts, I don't know about 1.50s. The only trucks I've ever seen turn 60s in the 1.5x range, is mine and Jim at JDMs. I launch with 14psi and 150 shot of juice. A turbo vehicle doesn't launch anywhere hear as hard a positive displacement blower or a nitrous vehicle, or espeically one using both . But yes they work great. They are a bit noisy, since the front assembly does pivot. Some people prefer a solid bar with two attachment points since they are more quiet. However using a solid attached bar you sacrifice adjustable preload, and lift action, and that kind of negates the point. If you are interested in the Caltracs, we have them.

Krummer (or Kozmo on the HALO Forum) has created a nice anti-rattle kit. He was nice enough to give the kit to all the HALO caltrac users. Try getting in contact with him and see how much he would sell the kit for.

On the street setting they are not that bad for noise. If you leave them setup for the track and drive on the steet , they can make some noise. I like them ALOT, they work very well with the drop kit.

Here are some real numbers...

No traction bars- I had a 1.72- 1.80 on slick but broke my driveshaft on the 1.72 pass

Truck Tracs- I had between a 1.69-1.74 but it was not consistent with my drop kit.

Cal Tracs- I have had 1.68-1.73 and its very smooth

All of these were done with the same mods & a stock stall convertor!!
