What Haqppened To The Turbo Lightning?

I remember a big discussion awhile back about a turbo kit for the second generation L. I know a company was working on one and have yet to hear anything. Anyone have alittle news?

The guys is in Vegas, the guys name is mike at silverstate motorsports. A buddy of mine was having some motors (4.6 & 5.4 dohc's) built by him, but was not real happy with the way he did business. He did say the twinturbo L was very fast.

There are a couple of twin turbo L's hiding in the shadows here.

does anybody have any idea what they dyno at? ET's maybe?

it seems like there is a lot of potential there but i dont know if the stock L parts can handle more than like 6 extra pounds of boost. Seems to me like a turbo setup would be equivalent to a VERY expensive pulley!

i have heard that turbos are easier on engines then superchargers, with the same amount of boost that is.
the reason being that a supercharger is always there. when you hit the gas its close to max boost half a second later or its climbing very fast. since the boost climbs so fast it puts stess on the engine when its trying to rev up. but with a turbo you have to wait for them to spool up. so by the time they have rached max boost your already at 3k or so. so there is not as much stress on the engine. i THINK
thats what i heard

J15,
When and engine is at 15 pounds of boost it is at 15 pounds. The source of the boost is not really relevent. Off boost is another story.

800++rwhp when the tranny melted on one of the trucks.

They have ball bearing turbos that are spinning as soon as you turn the key they eliminate turbo lag.
