Talking

Dale,
Belzona works real well and volume is one of the keys. That is what the spacer did for you but the problem is that the additional 1/2-inch puts the intake adapter right into the stock hood. I know because I did that over two years ago. Energy directors are the real key and you will find it with the modeling clay. It is amazing what you can do with airflow.

Just a postscript. We were talking the supercharger case initially. It has its limitation. Modifications to the inlet adapter, Throttle body and the air inlet tube all aid in the cause. There never is one magic bullet. The real gains come from a systems approach.

Agreed

Dale

PS By the way, my port job on the blower case consisted of a lot of time on the Bridgeport. It probably took me 1/2 an hour to clean up the chips.

Mike, Dale - great info.

Mike, I got a chance to see some of the work you've done on the intake first hand. (Silver-Bolt) Top notch stuff. Dynoing Thursday.

Dale, we need to talk. =) You are pretty close to me geographically and I am certainly interested in meeting up with you to discuss some of this stuff. I also have OBD2 scanning software and a laptop. I'd be curious as to how drastic these intake changes effect fuel trim. Maybe a lil Oregon/Washington meeting is needed. =)

Hey Dale, I'm always up for testing and tinkering.

Shoot me an email and tell me what you have in mind.

Dale,
You can add me to your test mule list as well. Hitting the dyno tomorrow for a baseline for where I am at now.
