Launch on Street

I know this has probley been asked. But when you are driving with normal pressure on the street. What is the best method to launch. I know many say 18psi at 1K rpm's at the track, but was wandering what to do at a stoplight or something.

There's no way

to answer that question. What are your tires resting in/on........motor oil, coolant(even slipperier than oil), gravel, etc.? I would just roll into the throttle from idle rpm and keep adding throttle until they start burning up --or hook.

just let her roll for a foot or two, then roll into the throttle. that gives me really good traction on the street. i tried holding at 1000 but i go with a cloud of white smoke.
