NEW stereo going in soon....whatcha think??

Thought you guys might be interested in a new stereo goin in the Lightning...

4 Infinity Kappa 5x7'' speakers
2 12'' boston acustics pro-series subwoofers
Custom Box for the two 12'' woofers
2 MTX AMPS 240d and 500d... to power everything
Panasonic Deck (forget model number, its the one with all the graphics )
Dynamat sound deadening material...

Whatcha think????

How big is that box for the two 12" subs? How are you going to fit it behind the seats? I'd guess for typical 12" subs in a sealed enclosure you'll need at least 2.2 cubic ft of space in the box. It'll be very tight back there.

I'm very interested in how you solve this. Please post pics when it's all in - sounds great if you can make it happen.

hey snoopy... if you use some good 12" subs, you can fit them back there.. solobarics only need .88 cubic feet each.

well my boston pro-series subs only need 1 foot of cubic space, so it should fit fine...we'll see...ill definately post pics when im done, probably sometime this weekend maybe...

Hey Clonetek, how do you like the Solo Barics??, I have old school 15" Kickers that I love, but I am leaning towards JL's right now....but I could be swayed to go Kicker again....

WaveBlaster785: the kickers are pretty darn loud.. 140+ db on the phoenix gold ZX600 amp. (1200watts x 1 @ 2 ohm mono)

Its a sony explod CD700 and the spacer is a rectangle piece of 1/8 inch aluminum.It Looks better tean the gap or the black plastic piece.

nice, wish I could buy that lightning symbol clonetek has....anyone else do anything custom with your aftermarket deck??

What do yall think it would lok like if you mounted gauges in the aluminum spacer above the cd player
