I was browsing around on a Z06 forum and came across this thread. Anyone heard anything about it. Sounds sweet if it really does come with a wet nitrous system as an option.

Im pretty sure the "Z07" is not by GM. Gm is keeping the Z06 name and it will have 425hp for 2003 and when the new C6 comes out in 2004 ,the Gen II Z06 will hopefully have a 427 with 520hp. As for the vid neal put up ,thats SW z06 which he renamed Z07 because its got a 422 in it,he also has some nos in it too. He also has a 9second supra and crip load of other phat cars. Some other guy has a so called "z07" with a 422. What it basically is is a fixed up Z06 with a 422 and some nos (150 shot?) in it which I beleive is done MTI performance.

 

For the record, the ZO7 was thought up by Jason@MTI and me. When Jason said he could build a 422ci LS1, we tried to come up with a name, so 7 litre/ ZO7. My car is actually a '99 6sp hardtop. It's at MTI now getting "upgraded" for some upcoming races. The original 422ci was a pump fuel motor with a solid cam. It made 549 rwh n/a. I've only run it once on motor, 10.8@131.9, on N.O.S, consistant 9's with the best run so far 9.74@146.1. There is a fine line between breaking stuff and going fast. I know it would be quicker with a automatic, but I like shifting. This car has all stock suspension, just lowered and has all factory options including a/c still in the car. I only change wheels and tires to go to the track. Hopefully, it will be faster with the "new" combination.

actually i heard one of my friends talking about a new vette with 485hp. don't know how accurate that is but he was dead on when the z06 came out.

 

Don't know what the rest of you guys think, but the 2 photos above look like they've been run through Photoshop once or twice. I'm not saying the guy is lying or anything like that, but the pics sure do look a little "funny".

I wasn't saying that you don't have/own the cars, but the pics just look funny. Look at the one with the rear shot of the vette. Look at where the tires meet the ground. It just looks air brushed or something. I wish I had the $ to do awesome stuff to my vehicles, but unless I win the lotto they will stay pretty close to stock. I wasn't trying to "dis" ya, just thought the pics looked a little funny.
