interesting weekend trip w/ Lightning
Me and my buddy planned to go visit his younger brother who we hang around with at school in Rhode Island this weekend. Came home friday night and put my stock wheels/tires on and took the winters off. Had to get used to driving with the f1's all over again. Went to the movies and when comming home, it was raining. Got a little loose a few times...hehe. Anyhow, Saturday afternoon we were off. Had too give me buddy a good "ride".... Haven't seen him in a while and it was only the second time he's been in my truck, first time we just went around the block. Got a kick out of him saying...jesus, i almost snapped my neck!!! Intersting point- we saw not only 1, but 2 z06's. Only the second time i've ever seen one. Saw one on the way down, and one on the way back. The lttle decals on the car with the hp ratting are neat.
Saturday night we went over to the liquor store. We pulled in and there was a group of gearheads parked in front with their cars shooting the bull. I got out and was attacked like a pack of wolves with questions about the truck. They were mustang guys and have only heard the tales of the big bad lightning. Can't be too many lightnings in RI i guess, it' a small state after all.
Then to top it all off, at my buddies house and i hear...holy ****, why is there a lightning parked in the driveway. It was my buddy's friend that moved to NY a few years ago. Haven't seen him since, but he came over to visit too. He was telling me how it was his dream truck and he spent 2 months putting a model together of one. I wanted to let him drive it but it was raining, figured i'd be posting a wrecked lighting story instead. I love my truck.

Here in Texas we dont get to put on winter tires it doesn't snow here. So whats it like driving with the other tires on it (normal tires) I guess your running all terrains on it is it any different to get used to???
Whats it like Must me weird getting used to the F1 tires again!!

These trucks draw more attention than just about anything around. Either from people who don't understand, people who have only read about them, or people who have had they're ears blown out as a sceaming Eaton goes by them sucking the paint off their cars!!
BTW...If you see a couple Mustang(disgustang) guys around our area with big obnoxious "Lynn Mass Bad Boyz" stickers, offer to go heads up with them! Dospite being burned several times, they still seem to think the L's are dogs!

hey whip
i just moved to peabody from Lynn. I'm pretty sure those mustang kids are friends of my cousin!! If it's the same kids, they talk alot of chit!!! I like all the eclipses and civics with the wings and neuspeed stickers. Theres a black eclipse with a big chrome wing...huge wing. He's got more onboard electronics for nos management..... His ****pit area looks like a god damn airplane.....and it sure it fast. Might even take off with that wing!!!
It's like driving two different vehicles. I had ford stock rims with michelin alpine II 235 70r 16's....those things have way more traction than the f1's. I'm tempted to make a pass up the track with my winters on the rear just to see the traction difference.... Of course there's not too much difference between traction once the boost hits, but hitting the throttle to the point right before the boost hits up.....the f1's will spin....the winters will not. Wait, now that I think of it, the 300lbs in the back might have alot to do with it. Oh well.
also, forgot to mention the chick in the camaro that kept trying to pass me.....everytime she got a head of steam, I pulled up next to her. Then she tried to give it a good run and must have scared herself cause she hit about 100 and shut right down.....it was quite ammusing. She wasn't finding it too funny though.
