How bout some non-rice
yesterday afternoon I was out riding around in my Lightning got a few races. First was a 00 WS-6 it was good from a roll he pulled by one length then we went from a light and put it all over him because it was a 6 speed. 1/8 had him by 5. Truck hooked really hard for some reason.
Then raced a 00 mustang GT 5 speed beat him from a roll and from a light badd both times. Don't know how many lengths on this one.
And finally was the best... it was a bright yellow C-5 auto. An old guy out tryin to impress his young big breasted mistress. I caught him at a light and looked over at him he just shook his head and smiled and gave the ol "Ive gotta vette" look. So I turn OD off bring up the "R's" to bout 1000. Light turns green and I roll into it hard, Truck is stickin good. At this point I had jumped out of the hole by a good 1/2 a car. Shift into second with a small chirp of the back tires and stretch it out to a full length. Hit third and when that happened it pulled hard and he let out. Get to the next light and he will not pull up so I start jumping the truck a little to try and coax him but no luck. So i get up to the speed limit and he does the OLD "FLY BY" at about 80. ANy way it was fun and I considered myself 3-0 for the day...
P.S. my truck is stock....

Bad Boy
People aren't too crazy about street racing here. I'm not judging. I wouldn't do it on the street tho' personally. A 500.00 speeding ticket is how I got my first Lightning anyway. A 93 F150 didn't attract police like a black 5.0 Mustang. Be careful. And good kills. I'm stock too and it's plenty fast for most vehicles driving around on the street.
Coming home from buying a bucket of chicken for Sunday dinner, I was driving down a two mile stretch of 4-lane when I noticed about 1/4 mile behind me two "blue dot" headlights weaving through traffic at a high rate of speed. I moved over to the slow lane and stayed at 50 MPH, which is the posted limit, and waited for this vehicle to make it's pass. It was a yuppie in a brand spankin' new BMW X5is (still had the paper plates on it) and he had his woman in the truck with him.
As we neared the next light, the jackass cut me off at the last second to get on the front row. OKaaaaaaaay.......When the light turned green he took off and I stayed right behind him, never once squealing the tires. Even though I was impressed at how well the Beemer accelerated, I had plenty of pedal left and could have passed him, had I wanted to. This particular X5 was the 340 HP version and I'm sure Mr. Yup expected to lose me in rapid fashion. I opted to pass the exit to my subdivision for a real showdown.
As fate would have it, at the next light we ended up side-by-side. This particular stretch of road is perfect for what were going to do. No lights, no cross streets, no homes or businesses for four miles. Perfect!
He looked at me and I looked at him as we waited for the green.
The guy was watching the yellow for the other direction of traffic and was looking to time his launch. Had we been at the track, he would have redlighted because he left early. Not to worry, though. I mashed it hard, turned the F1's good for about 25 feet, the L shook it's fanny, squatted, and took off. I had a good 2.5 to 3 lengths on him after the first 400 feet and pulled another three by the time we hit 100 MPH. 13 seconds later, it was over. I tapped my brakes to let him know I was backing down and he did the 'fly-by" at about 125 MPH.
The really funny part is that when he passed through a cluster of street lights at a closed park entrance shortly after doing his "fly-by", I could see smoke pouring out from under his car......lots of it!
This did not appear to be normal at all. I can't help but wonder if he blew something apart and if he decided to take his $60K SUV back for a refund after being struck by Lightning.
