Are the bassani shorty headers a direct replacement for the stock manifolds or are they longer/shorter? Just curious to if the pipes in front of the cats are going to have to be modified or will the bassani's bolt right in place.

im not kncking the Bassani headers... God Knows they make great "catback" kits !!!! i have the JBA's on mine .... got a realy good deal my dad Knows the owner from steeda i think his name is daryo some like that ...? but their killer headers.. and the steeda one's are realy nice to...... so witch every will be a good choice their so much to pick from nowah day's.....

i would think about getting some other header but i have a friend who is taking them off of his lightning and getting long tubes.... and he's selling me his shorty's at a good price so i couldn't pass.
I was just curious to know whether they would bolt directly into place or not.

.....anyone have a problem with them not bolting up in place of the stock manifolds??

They should bolt right up to stock stuff....

 

And why do you think your friend is taking off the shorties for long tube headers, just to pi$$ away money?

 

i have bassani shorty headers on my 01 along with the bassani cat back and it sounds great. i can feel the difference. but it is the loudest exhaust ive heard on a lightning ive seen yet.

I know both of the parties involved. They are the best of long-time friends. Justin knows why his friend is selling the Bassanis.

There is no misleading or misunderstanding involved; it's just two friends helping each other out. Justin get's the 'sound' he wants and knows that LTs would be more helpful with performance and sound. Both will be happy with this transaction.

Bassani's headers are first in quality. Stainless steel, ceramic coated. They are a direct bolt on with a great fit. It's not an easy project but they will bolt on without any modification.
If you need a new set of Bassani steel header gaskets let me know.

thanks for your help.... and dealing with SDR this weekend, we were gonna go but Rusty decided that he would ride with David down to Miami to drop off his girl at the airport. Just so happens that there is a certain big race going on down in Miami this weekend too. So regardless to say, they won't be back till late Sunday night.

P.S.... congrats on the new time (something else to make Rusty spend more money!!)
