Small Problems and Fixes with PSP N20 Plate
Small Problems and Fixes with PSP N20 Plate
I just installed the little plate yesterday but that after the install there was about 2-3inches of play in the peddle... not only that but I was unable to goto WOT (only about 80%)... Found an easy fix.
Stuff needed: 3 or 4 1" washers, 1 bolt lock (those little washers that are cut and twisted a little to keep bolts tight), 2 needle nose plyers.
1: Use both needle nose plyers to twist the bolt lock open wide enough to be able to slip over the throttle cable (about 1/16")
2: Remove the throttle return spring and throttle cable from the T/B so that the peddle goes compleatly slack.
3: Get under the dash (lay under it) and press the gas peddle to pull the throttle cable into the cabin. Then grab the cable behind (closer to the firewall) and pull it slack.
4: Pinch the wire and push it through the 3-4 washers. This is what takes up the slack so changing the number of washers will tighten or loses the peddle. Then, put the wire through the opening of the bolt lock and then use the neddle nose plyers again to close the bolt lock closed. Pull the washer down to the bolt lock to make sure that the assembly will not come undone under a load.
5: Reattach the throttle cable and spring. Test and enjoy your new PSP plate as well as WOT

It is a simple bolt on. And what I did is not REQUIRED but it does give you back some tightness that is lost by moving the T/B forward a little. It is still a simple bolt on
Doing this only would take 30min tops and that's if you have a total lack of dexterity and are unable to clamp the lock washer down over the throttle wire

As Hankfan stated, the kit should require no other changes to make it work, other than what's stated in the directions. The two provided spacers place the linkage in the proper location. It seems like you have it on properly now anyway, so hopefully you'll enjoy it
