Exclamation Guys, need help on 3/16!!

The SCMC Cobra Club is having our annual Drag Day at Carolina Dragway in Jackson, SC. Last year we joined forces with the GAFB (Georgia F-body Association) and had a BLAST! Here's the problem I face, we need some more L's to beat up on some HIGH PERFORMANCE SPORTS CARS! Myself and a few other L's represented quite nicely last year (right DL? ) We had a few comments on the look of the '01's tailights. LOL This year is shaping up to be even better. Here's a list of the cars already signed up:

BREWER LEE 2000 CAMARO SS
BURT KENNETH 2001 COBRA
CIAMILLIO,GEORGE 2002 CORVETTE Z06
CLARK GEORGE 1995 COBRA
COLON JOSE 2001 LIGHTNING

FILLMER JOE 1999 COBRA
FURHMAN PETER 1996 COBRA
GIBBS GRANT 1996 COBRA

SANDERS JON 1967 Mustang COUPE
SHANABERGER,TODD1998 COBRA
SORRENTINO,TONY 1999 COBRA
SOX WADE 1992 GT
STANFIELD,DAVE 1999 S/C COBRA
WILSON RICH 1999 NOS GT

DL has stated he will be running as well. Jackson was recently repaved and resurfaced and IT... IS... HOOKIN'! DL's already cut a 1.71 on Nittos and I've cut several low 1.8's on F1's. We still have a week left and you will definetly have a good time running against some fast cars (I had to say that so the SPORTS CARS would be happy).LOL

For more info goto: http://www.svtcobraclub.com and click on the link for the Drag Day. Hope to see some of you guys there!

Guys, have you seen what CC is doing. He's throwin' dollars and mods at his L so fast, he could do a burnout with his credit card ! This is pitiful--a grown, but still 'young' man, grovelling down into the depths of his old Summit and Jeg's catalogs, feverously searchin' for that 'secret' doololly that will keep his truck quicker than mine. I hear he's been neglecting his g/f and doesn't even have any time to wash-n-wax DL's truck. As my daddy use to say, "Boy, you runnin' this thing into the ground." I know, I know. Just because tiger woods won't comp you tickets to the Masters is no reason to take your shame and humiliation out on me........

Btw, meet you at the 'tree' --and you better be packin'!

Dan

The Smack hath begun.

Signed,
Don't need no stinking tires to run fast

Your quote:

That's m'boy! Stick to your guns. Don't let anybody(DL) talk you out of usin' those hookin', high-dollar F1s. I want to use mine, but they're too dirty so I'll just have to use those semi-slick, cheap M/Ts .

Btw, there will be fuel specimens taken in the staging lanes. This is a 93 octane-limit event. If any unnatural, paint-related chemicals are found in your tank, you will be disqualified and made to drive the Yugo pace car in the St. Patrick's Day parade, wearing your golf knickers.

Cool

Oh, there will be 93 in the tank... along with some secret additives even YOU don't know about. Funny thing, I never liked Chemistry while in school. Hehehehehe

BTW, I've heard the ET Street's last alot longer if you soak them in either Armor All or Tire Wet. I'll make sure you have some when you get to the track.

All's fair in love and war, but racin', that's a WHOLE 'nother story. LOL

Guess what I saw on Ebay?

Just surfin' and lo in behold, there was CornerCarver biddin' on two Kelly AWD used tires. He specified 'rear' tires. He was holdin' at $19.97 even though the FedEx overnight charge will exceed that amount. He was also biddin' on one Lightning spare, steel wheel--to match his.

He has made the statement that "He don't need any special tire for the race this Satdy." He has been known to race--with a stiff tailwind.

I called a Vietninese friend of his and she told me he could only get the Kellys because he was buyin' his g/f an April First gift. She's got her heart set on a mink-trimmed, goat-skin, satan-lined Gucci handbag and a matching, stiletto-heeled pair of pumps(foot pumps, not trans pumps).

Actually, this is just a blatant attempt to bring this thread back to the top to see if I can catch the eye of some of you greater-Atlanta guys. The track is being rented for the afternoon so they'll be plenty of runs for everyone that attends. There are 30+(?) entries already--should be a ton-of-fun--especially if I can whup on ol' CC.

Btw, watch out CC, Rusty may have 'something' for both of us?

Hey Randy...I mean...Rusty!

Weather forecast for Augusta is a high of 76* and partly cloudy---sounds good to me.

Speakin' of 'sound'; CC you may be able to hear Rusty as he drives thru Waynesboro. That boy's truck give's a whole new meaning to the words "Flatulence and Lightning" --Wuuuuuuuuhahaa.
