Talking Lowering shackles on!!!

Really makes the truck look a lot better IMHO. Anyone not planning on doing a full drop, at least consider dropping the rear 2" for $65.00 Ford should have gotten that right at the factory. Loving the look of the blue with her A$$ squatted down. This truck gets more attention than my last Jeep with safari racks, lights, etc. I love my L!!!

Thanks for letting me share that

P.S. anyone have any comments on adjusting headlights?

Just installed mine too

Hey, i just did the 2"shackles and the eibach springs. I only got 1" on the rear, and 1.5 on the front, so i have a rake that i dont really like. Why did it only get 1" in the rear? I am in the top hole of the shackle, that is the one that will give me the greatest drop...right? Any ideas? the front looks FANTASTIC but the back is still too high and 1 more inch would have been great.

That's about what most people have gotten that have supplied suspension drop data. See this link.

I did mine today also. Not sure what shackle it was, but it made a little over 2 inches drop. Busted up my nose real bad when i was doing it to. Real bad.

so what will the composite leaf springs do? anything? will they lower the truck at all? will they help with handling? are they a waste of money?

what happened to your nose, how did it happen?
what kinda shackles did you put on? i only got about .75 with my shackles. do you have anything in the bed of your truck? like a lid or bed rug or anything else? Im trying to figure out why i didnt even come close to the 2" drop i was hoping for.

Dtdionne,

With my '00, 3/4 tank of gas, Extang bed cover, Line-X liner, hitch, tailgate, etc. I got a perfect 2" drop with the shackles. Did you put weight on the springs before tightning the shackles? I've seen people tighten the shackles while there are no weight on the bed, and locks the shakles in an angle that doesn't give it the full drop. Hope this helps.

The problem that dtdionne is having is the same problem that am afraid of. I want to go 1" lower all the way around. I got the shackles installed and the truck sits even all the way around. Any suggestions on what i should do. I dont like the rake look so.
