Question Innovation Pro-Sport tonneau install

It's here. Took a week to come cross country. Has anyone ever installed one of these using the instructions that came with it? I read them and am totally lost. Anyone know of a shop in South Miami that might be able to help me? It's sittin on the truck and it really looks awsome. I guess I could just DUC-TAPE it or something:o

Wow, you got instructions? When I got mine, I didnt get any of those. Actually, I just called the place and they gave me good step by step instructions over the phone. If I remember right, it was pretty straightforward except that I had to fix one of their mistakes with a dremel. The bulge in the middle extended over the right bed rail so it would not properly close.

litnfast,

I installed my lid, it was a bit of a pain. The people @ Innovation, (in the shop, Dan (I think)), are VERY helpful.

BE SURE you mount the lid far as far AFT as you can to try to avoid the lid from rubbing the paint off of your tailgate.

Jake...

like baby jake said... mount it as far back as you can so as it doesnt rub anything..

the instructions that came with mine werent very helpful either.. lol

you use the black bar with the 2 L brackets welded to it..
install it on the front cap like this..

in that picture you can see the bracket for the bedcover tabs to slip into... measure several times to make sure you have everything centered, then drill large pilot holes.. those screws break off pretty easily.. don't ask how i know.

when you mount the shock brackets, mount them as far down on the bedrail as you can.. there isnt any metal for the screws to go into at the top of the bedrail.. again, dont ask how i know that. grrrrr.. lol

hope this helps.. if you need anything, just ask..

Thanks for the very helpful info. The photo makes everything clear. Unfortunately I injured my knee when jumping out of the delivery truck yesterday. Took me ten minutes to get from the bed to the computer this a.m. I hope I'm not becoming this boards new ICULUKIN or something
