I was wanting to do all the following to my truck without a chip----
3lb pulley, air filter kit, fan, water pump Would all these be fine without a chip?

 

i am not expert here, but i am pretty sure you will need a chip with a 3 lb or more pulley. I think you can get away with at 2 pounder and no chip though.

I would definately chip it with the 3# pulley to be safe as well as maximize the mods effectiveness.

I wouldnt run any pulley without a chip!!

 

I know you are reluctant to put that chip in.(been there).Unfortunately the chip is the brain to all these mods.If you want to feel like you got your bang for the buck you need the chip.The tuners have done a excellent job programing these for maximum safe performance.It is a decision only you can make.

 

Dude, you'll be missing out on an easy 20 RWHP... just tell the tuner that we live in BAMA and to keep the tune safe for you... I don't think JL has the 3# Lower any more... I have one, but I got mine "pre-owned"!!!

If you want to meet up in a couple weeks, I'll show you what you'll be missing... My truck with just a 2# Upper, K&N "BOX" filter, JDM Boost Bypass, and CHIP went 8.19 @ 85 MPH in the 1/8th...I gained 30 RWHP @ normal operating temperature with just my CHIP!!!
