It's red, but that's not a cowl hood . . .

Walker, how good of quality was the hood when you got it ? Any cracks or major fixes to do before you shot the paint? I really like the ram air, but thought the cowl looked pretty mean on the black one when I saw it on "hood bananza" thread.

It was in excellent shape, they did a little sanding and was ready to paint. The body shop had said It was one of the better quality brands they had ever seen

I've seen Walker's hood and it's perfect, inside and out.

Did any of you guys look at the sticker on the hood that said let hood bake in the sun for a few days first! I laughed at that one

I am glad to hear that they make a good product, so what are you guys thoughts on how a cowl hood would look in red? I really do like the ram air, but want something different. I like the cowl in black, but want to sure before I spend the money that I will like it in red.

Agreed. They are way too heavy! I was going to get one for my truck but decided not to when I saw the weight. My truck is already slow enough

I honestly think the ram air looks best on red and the cowl on black, not sure about silver as I have only seen the cowl on silver
