Just bought some Doetsch shocks!

Who else besides RobG has used these shocks before? (he said they where the best he's rode on).

For 39 bucks each you wouldn't think that they would be as good as I've heard. Any personnel opinions on this one guys?

If you look on the sporttruckdirect site they have a comparison sheet with these and most of the popular shocks on the market and compared to the bell techs I got on now these are supposed to be the Shiznit! We'll see.

I love the Beltechs I just got.

If you have Beltechs, and you like them, why switch?

Just curious.

Well they work on the truck ok, but I rode in crude's 01 with the blisteins and the truck rode so much smoother then mine.

So I was talking to rob one day and we where talking about the shocks and i asked him how he likes the way his truck drives now. He said that his truck was smoother and rode better with these shocks then when his truck was stock height with the blisteins. That convinced me that these had to be soem good shocks. I think the bell techs are rough riding compared to a stock 01 and if these are better, WOW!

Hey Pawn, fill me in on what you got in the box there!

12-way adjustible custom valved shocks. They're Ruslow's version, you can get more info on them over at the NLOC road-race board.

JDM also sells them, with a different default valving, aimed more at drag performance.

will those 12 way adjustable shocks work on a mustang? i bought those for my bolt and i just cant tell any difference in launching with these things on over the stock ones. i tried every adjustment and shimms u could do and i took em off and put the stock ones back on. i wanna do some track testing with the stock ones vs. the qa1 but have not yet. i didnt tell the diference that i needed to for 390 bucks

Rusty -- what was the valving you had? Also, was it a custom fluid? I'm told that for the strip, you would want to put the from shocks at 12(firm) and rears and 1(soft) to maximize weight transfer on launch.

What shims are you talking about?

daniel, the shocks r exactly like they came from jdm so whatever valving and fluid that was in them is what im using, however i do not have the front shocks just the rear. i tried anything from a 1- a 6 with not much luck. the shims that i was talking about are the pieces that insert into the bottom of the shocks. they r 2 and the bolt fits in one pretty snug and the other fits rather loose. i tried both of them and the one that fits it the best is the best one as i thought. it just looks like they sent one for 2 different sized bolts for your application.

Pete -- Sorry man! heheh...soon.

Rusty -- Maybe the stock 99/00 shocks are too soft to get the transfer benefit by letting the front down to easy still last time? dunno.... I am not gearining my truck for drag, so I may be wrong.

RT,

Which shocks did you get. They have a 9 position advertised in Trucking and I
e mailed them to find out the difference, etc and they don't answer e mails.

Joe, when you leaving for Boot Camp?? Maybe you'll be around to open Byron?
