Question What drop should I get??

Anyone have any answers. I am looking to drop my L 1-2 in front and 2-3 in the rear. I really want to stay away from doing a C-notch. I hear Belltech alot. I am a suspension dummy, so I don't know what I want.

Also I want a kit that I could do myself. I assume they have directions. And if not someone that has done this want to help out ?

Pictures would be nice of yours if you have them

Thanks

Jason

Thumbs up

I went with Mark's (LFP) advice and used Eibach coils and Belltech shackles on my '00. The whole installation took 3 hours and the truck measured a 2"/2" drop and absolutely no problem with bottoming out. I also installed a set of 2001 Bilstein shocks in the process and the truck never handles/rides better.

The Eibach is advertised to give 1" drop. But the front of my truck went from 19" stock down to 17" (center of wheel to bottom of fender) with the springs. I've seen guys lowering Mustangs with springs from different manufactures and they almost always lower the car more than advertised.

You should look at some trucks that have the drop you want.

Here's a pic of mine. It has a 2" Front/3" rear drop.

But don't just lower it. . .there are other things you must do
to get them to handle correctly. Drop me an e-mail and I'll let you know.

Ok all this info is great, I am strongly leaing towards the Belltech. But does the 3/4 drop it that much? I am willing to spend the $$ for a decent kit, but not as much as a Roush. Any pics??

Man I am picky

If you want a decent suspension kit, you will have to spend the money for it. If you want a lowering kit, that's different.

I think RTKILLA has a 3/4 drop.
I have DJM 2' drop shackles. I will be putting a 1' drop in the front.
