Anyone gotten rid of swirls in their red paint? Me being the smart Guy decided to was the truck now its swirled, (I used meguires, and 100% cotton towels) and it still did it. Some people have said there are some waxes specific for red paint to get ride of the swirls. I have some 3m swirl remover which is what most the body shops aroudn here use, but its not doing so well.

I would clay the paint surface first to make sure you are getting the paint surface clean. those contaminants might be preventing you from getting into the top clearcoat. I would use either of the following products to help the swirls on red. I had a 2000 Red L and never had any swirls in the paint. anyway use Zaino or a good fill in glaze like Omega glaze from one grand products. Glazes are good for filling in swirls before waxing. I always had good luck with meguiars #1 paint cleaner and #2 polish in the maroon bottles to help swirls. For final waxing I use Zaino or the wet cherry wax for the ultimate wet paint finish. always use a 100% USA made white cotton large towel for the best results in removing any polish, glaze, or waxes.
