HELP! I need foglight covers.

Hey:

I wanted to buy some clear foglight covers after hearing about people breaking theirs.

Unfortunately GTS is out of business. (How big of a crack smoker would you have to be to run that company out of business? Those covers are frigging everywhere.)

Anyone have any ideas?

Also, where can I get some regular F150 taillights (without paying through the nose). I love my Lightning, but these taillights are too much for me. If I am not going to put Altezzas on my Honda, they definitely don't belong on my truck.

Thanks for any help

Steve

Holy Moley!

Are those melted? I have a buddy that has some, but he takes them off before running the foglights. I always thought he did that because the tint would keep the light from being bright.

Hey Guys:

Thanks for the offers. Let me think about it today, but I was originally intending to keep the stockers in case I ever sold the thing (fat chance!) or wanted to put it on the car show circuit or something.

Thanks though

easterisland

How did you get those covers to fit. I have a pair and they seem just a little too big.

I had the fog light covers that easterisland had but mine were clear and they did the exact same thing. So I tried the covers offered from stongard and this is what happened........

Now I am just running around with out any covers and my driver side fog light is cracked again. I guess I will just have to live with it and buy another lense.

Steve,

I am using the Stongard product, but never use the fog lights, because of what you've seen in the previous posts.

There's another company called xpel (www.xpel.com), but I've never used their products. At less than $20 for the pair, maybe it's worth a try.

I tried StonGuard and a set of GTS coveres and melted them both.

I'd be willing to go for another set of GTW covers (maybe Texas Mustang still has some?), they lasted a few months before melthing...

I havn't *knock on wood* had a cracked foglight yet, but I also make sure that I do -not- run them when the ground is wet (rain, snow, whatever), so as to keep cold water away from hitting a hot foglight glass (aka, crack!).

Hey:

That Xpel brand seems to be some sort of 'peel-and-stick' film. I can't imagine that works very well.

Where can I get the Stonguard stuff?

Thanks

Stongard is also a peel & stick cover. I had them also and they unpeeled themselves in 2 weeks. I bought mine at http://www.autoseattle.com/stongard.htm

Stoneguard, Xpel and one other place I forget all sell the same exact 3M thinfilm material. The only difference is on their large front end kits, how the cuts are done.

guys, guys, guys

the fog light covers you can get are for 87-93 GT mustangs, they fit, and are tight - i got mine from california mustang -.....also, if you are going to run the fog lights, take the covers off - They run hot - i hardly ever run mine....
