im wanting to get me a 2002 lightning, but im not sure if i can get a good price on one. Does anyone know if the Svt dealers will accept the x plan and how can i get on the x plan? and is there any other tricks i need to look out from the dealer?

 

OK, here's what I did. Went to the SVT site and did a dealer search on my zipcode. The nearest 20 dealers came back. I wrote an e-mail message explaining what I was looking for and that I wanted to buy under the x-plan. I copied the message, went to each dealer website and sent them the e-mail.

That day (Sunday) 2 dealers responded and were willing to sell, but did not have the color I was looking for. When I came home from work Monday, all 20 dealers had replied. 8 were willing to sell under the x-plan, some others wanted to sell below MSRP, but not under the x-plan and some would not sell for less than MSRP.

I picked the one that I liked the best and drove my new L home 2 days later that I purchased under the x-plan...it's too easy!!!
