Tinted Windows

Just came back from getting the side windows tinted. I wasn't sure what tint to go with, I didn't want them too dark, maybe some where between 35% & 50%. I just have to see what it looked like. Any way, the tint shop didn't even ask me what tint I wanted. Turns out in New York State, the two front side windows can't be any darker than 70%. Little disapointed, the side windows came out about the same as the rear window. Not sure it was worth the money.

Question What's the name?

Neal W,
What's the name of the stuff they gave you to clean your tinted windows? I'm supposed to clean mine with a mix of dishwashing soap and water. It's kind of a pain.

Oh you open the door for me! I had to have my windows tinted 2 times by Mitch's here in Tyler , because of trash underneath. Would not warrenty it for ,or replace it for 30 days. I was POed! Now I got a ticket on my dash for my tint. The highway patrol said his tool read it at 35 or higher, that its suppose to be 11.So if I take it off the ticket might get dropped. Aaaaagggghhhh!!!!

i have tinted windows, but I was wondering if I could buy tinted windows, without film, like the back ones for the sides. i want to do it darker, and i want to be able to clean it windex and not have to worry about putting nicks in it. anyone heard of this?

if window tint is done correctly it shouldnt peel or chip it is very tuff if youve had problems in the past it was probly because it was done improperly, any glass cleaner will work as long as its ammonia free it will say so on the bottle if it is

When you buy tint make sure that it is a pure metal film , this way there are no dyes to change colour. This way you can use windex to clean the film. check out Formula One film made by C.P Films they have a film called Ultimate @ is a non reflective metal film. Try www.formulaone.com for a dealer near you. Sean

Try using invislible glass on your windows!!! check in trucking magazine, you do have to order it but it works awesome!!!
If i didnt have tints i would throw change at the window going through a toll it cleans them so good.
