Question So-Cal speed shop drop kit

Spike's poll has me thinking hard about the tech side of dropping the L.

So-Cal's kit ($750.00 for the parts and $600.00 for install!!) ) drops it 1.75/3 and supposedly maintains load and handling that might be lost otherwise.

I'm a total newbie to lowering trucks (motorcyle suspensions, yes) and I'd like to know

a) any feedback on So-Cal's kit
b) does a smart - not so-cal kit - drop maintain ride/handling

I am keeping stock wheels, and we have a freakin' ton of dips here in the desert...

If you have ever tried to Install a drop kit on a L you will know why they charge $600. You will get pissed off and really mad!! LOL

There are several guys here who have had the drop installed by socal, with positive feedback. I'm sure someone will mention something soon.

I've wanted to get their suspension package for mine for better handling, but can't (yet) justify the cost...it's really not that bad for what they do, though.
