Lookin' for Fog Lamps

I've got a 2000 L, and want to replace the fog lamps. Is it best to go with after market or bite the bullet at the dealership?

I know I have seen posts here with respect to this but am unable to find them.

Thanks.

Jeff.

Aftermarket. They light thrown off on the aftermarket lenses isn't as bright, but I compensated by putting 100w bulbs in and it works great.

I buy mine, two sets at a time from Texas Mustang Parts at http://www.texasmustang.com/

Part # E7RR-0015L203-L - $17.95/ea

They're the lenses off 87-93 Mustangs, they're the exact same as ours and are a drop in replacement.

PS - What part of Edmonton are you from? I went to high school there and left for greener (and warmer) pastures in '96... I used to live in Millwoods off 38th ave and 91st... Moved to Dallas in 99...

Thanks for the info.

I live in Millwoods, the Hillview area. Have been in Edmonton since '95.

Lens

Are those lens clear like the 2001 or frosted like the 1999/2000.

I have a 2000 and I would love to have clear ones. Alot of people are looking for this.

dionisio, These lenses are identical to the original lenses on the 99/00's... The '01-'02 lenses are not available in aftermarket to my knowledge...

Still Smiling, Small world eh... Many L's in Edmonton? The kids still cruisin' 118th on Friday/Saturday nights? I remember cruisin Jasper ave and then headin to the A&W on 118th in my 72 Chevelle with my buddies most every weekend. My Chevelle still lives in Edmonton too... Sigh... The good 'ol days...

Not to mention the 01-02 lenses appear to crack as well, even with the 42W bulb. I don't use them much, but when the lenses on my 02 fogs finally do crack I'll be replacing the whole units with some $$ aftermarket models.

You can put the 3M film on them (transparent) like the one used on many hoods and that will protect them against most rocks.
