PSP 4-Way Chip Users - Question?
when switching programs, does the program take effect as soon as you flip the switch?
ex. say i'm driving long distance on my economy program, and i see a vette coming up, if i switch from 4 to 2, does that program take effect instantly?

Im never gonna need a track setting because the gas in CA is so bad....dont need a valet mode because i have a nice alarm system...and im never really going to need nitrous...what should i do with #4???

1) Street/Strip
2) Race (minimum 98 octane)
3) Street/Strip - Cold Weather (recommended under 50 degrees)

Good for the ecomomy racer.
My personal preferences
1. Stock without the torque reducing shifts
2. Street
3. Track - 1000 RPM setting for idle while in "D"
4. Nitrous - 1000 RPM setting for idle while in "D"
One for Summer and another for Winter.

I have :
1. Econo-mode (torque reducing shifts)
2. street mode (firm shifts)
3. race mode (stalled shift @ WOT)
4. Security mode. (worthless because of my alarm)
I will be changing this one to Valet Mode. The rev limiter will be set much lower. Forced shifts at certain RPM's.

You can indeed change the chip on the fly and it will take effect. One night when coming home from the track, a turbo Intergra wanted to play. He stayed right beside us untill I reached in the glove box and put it on street performace, then we pulled away and kept pulling up to 140.
Our Chip:
1.) Street 3.73
2.) Hot Street 3.73
3.) Hot Track 4.10
4.) Nitrous 4.10
