what a frekin' day
what a frekin' day
well you guessed it...it's vent time. no, not really, but had my first flat with L after 2 weeks of ownership. i was coming back from Mobile,AL to Birmingham, AL on I65N when i started noticing that the truck was pulling a little to the left. i've been really out of it all day because my grandma passed away on tues. and her funeral was yesterday. anyway, i didn't think much of the truck pulling. i thought it was just the road, etc. stupid, huh? it started getting so bad i pulled off the road and discovered my front left tire flat.
so, the bad news is that i probably road on a flat for around 100mi.
can you guys give me a potential damage report?
any recalls on those L stock tires? the interstate i was on I-65N has a lot of construction and i think i must have picked up something in the tire.
can i go ahead and take it to National Tire & Battery to get it back on the road or should i wait until Mon(when dealer can look at it) because of possible further damage, if any?
I was thinking about taking it in to NTB today to get tire fixed and then bringing it in on Mon to dealer to have them look it over for any collateral damage that could have been done by driving on the flat for that long.
am i being paranoid or should i be worried about what i could have done? i value the opinions expressed on this board and would appreciate any comments on this. thanks.

I just had a flat on my front right tire and rode on it for about 40 miles. I can see where its possible because mines didn't wobble at all, it road smoothly. I already needed an alignment but it was pulling to the right a lot more severely. People kept pointing at my tire and i thought they were giving me a lot of compliments for that day
. Anyway i pulled over to check it out and it was definitely flat. I went to NTB and they told me it could be fixed but the sidewall was damaged so bad that next time it could result in a blowout. I've had a tire plugged because of a giant nail and it hadn't given me anymore problems..If it suddenly went flat on you, i would probably replace it just to be on the safe side. NTB chages 310 bucks a tire and told me they would match anyones prices on the same tires. I needed a set because my tires were roasted so I ordered mines from Tire Rack cost me 798 buckaroos, shipping and handling. 188$ for one tire from them..I hope this helps and things get better for you man..I've been there.. Take care!

well ntb didn't have this tire. man, these tires are high. went to goodyear, they could have it installed for $300. is that the best deal around. tirerack.com had it for $207 but with s&h and install might be a wash.
let me know what you think. my ADD is costing me!

Tirerack will dropship them to an installer near you(they list installers based on your zip code on their site) and some will install them for Tireracks price(Tirerack kicks them a few bucks). Don't worry about shipping, it's only around $17-$18 and in most cases you won't have to pay tax so that makes up for the price of shipping.
