I just finished installing a 4lb pulley but I am not able to install the supplied belt. It appears the belt is about 1" to short. What lenght belt do you use on a 4lb pulley?

 

Did you get a belt w/ the pulley or did you buy at the local autoparts store...call the tuner that makes the pulley. Get their # off their web-site!!!

Stock belt will fit, but you must break off the stop on the tensioner 1st.

 

I called the Tuner and he said it was the right belt, the only thing I was doing wrong is I did not break the tab off the tensinor pulley

 

You should have a 68" belt and you will not have to break off the tab. Been there done that. Breaking off the tab is just one more way for a dealer to track your past.

 

01-Bolt, did you get it on ok? I was going over some things with a customer when you called the second time. Lisa said you'd call back, but you never did, so I just wanted to make sure you got the belt on ok.

 

I was going to call but I decided to give it another try and guess what it worked. I tried the first time to break the tab but was unable, guess I wasn't trying enough. The second/third time worked great. Everything was simple but you might want to change your insturctions some since the search feature is not working here.
