Question I need search! How to clean interior?

Since I can't look it up, and i'm sure its been talked about before but i can't remember.

My center console is real dirty and I just got some black stuff on it, not really sure what it is, just like some carbon or something.

Anyway, what is a safe cleaner that I can use to get it like new again? Thanks

Jon

If you're talking about the fabric portion of the console...

Blue Coral Dri-Clean was recommended here, I used it and it works great. Follow up with a couple coats of Scotchgard

Pep Boys and WalMart both stock it.

Scotchgard is great stuff! Makes the interior SO easy to clean. Stock up before the eco-***** take it all away. After you treat the interior, open the windows and let it air our overnight before driving. The carriers in the stuff seem to be rather toxic. [cough, cough]

fwiw - for some reason there are various different 'grades' of Scotchgard. Be sure to get the automotive version with the picture of the car on it. Just about any decent auto store / auto section of X-Mart will have it.
